2
lakh hi-tech jobs to move out of US annually
NEW YORK: US technology services giants such as IBM could
move as many as 200,000 engineering jobs annually overseas

The loss of these jobs -- with median annual salaries exceeding
$100,000 -- is expected to boost the unemployment rate among
US engineers above the 6.7 per cent rate today, which is
already five times greater than in 2000.
